Sustainability Update: Our 2025 Progress
At Nu-Pure Beverages, our Commitment to Sustainability is grounded in practical action and continuous improvement. We focus on leading the industry through lightweight packaging innovation and responsible resource use to reduce our environmental impact.
Lightweight Packaging, Designed to Reduce Impact
Packaging plays a critical role in reducing environmental footprint. In 2025, 99% of our PET resin portfolio was made from recycled PET (rPET), helping avoid approximately 12,000 tonnes of virgin plastic each year. Increasing recycled content supports responsible resource use while lowering the carbon footprint of our packaging. Alongside recycled content, we continued to lead through lightweight packaging innovation — reducing material where possible while meeting our product safety and quality standards.
Lighter Bottles, Driven by Innovation
Throughout 2025, Nu-Pure progressed lightweighting initiatives to continue to reduce plastic use and transport-related emissions while maintaining bottle integrity, safety, and fitness for performance — reinforcing that sustainability and quality go hand in hand.
Responsible Resource Use Across Our Operations
Since 2021, Nu-Pure has achieved a 26% reduction in carbon emissions per 24-pack of water produced. This progress has been driven by ongoing investment in process efficiency, equipment optimisation, and on-site renewable energy across our manufacturing sites.
Supporting Circularity and Waste Reduction
In 2025, more than 85% of waste generated across Nu-Pure sites was diverted from landfill, with over 800 tonnes recycled or reprocessed. T.R.U.E (Total Use & Resource Efficiency) Certification was also expanded to our Melbourne (Truganina) facility, joining our certified Sydney (Horsley Park) site.
Looking Ahead
Sustainability is an ongoing journey. We remain committed to reducing material use, improving efficiency, and supporting better recycling outcomes — guided by transparency, evidence, and responsible stewardship.
